When To Call Right Away
- Burning smell, scorch marks, or buzzing from the panel or an outlet
- A main breaker that trips and will not reset
- Partial power, where some rooms are dead and lights are dim or overly bright
- Water intrusion into the panel or meter
- Sparking from any outlet, switch, or fixture
If you see smoke or flames, leave the house and call 911 first. For everything else on this list, call us and we will talk you through making it safe and get you scheduled as an emergency.
What Counts As An Emergency
Not every outage is dangerous, and we will be honest about which is which. A dead bedroom circuit can usually wait for a scheduled visit at a normal rate. A hot panel, repeated main trips, or partial power across the house can be a fire hazard and gets moved to the front of the line, including after hours when it truly cannot wait.
Honest Emergency Pricing
Emergency and after hours work is priced up front before we start, just like every other job. You approve a written price first. We do not invent problems, and if the safe fix can wait for a normal appointment, we will tell you so and save you the emergency rate.
