The Factors That Set The Price
- Service size: moving from 100 to 200 amps costs more than a like for like replacement
- Utility work: overhead versus underground service, and whether the mast or meter must move
- Existing conditions: grounding, bonding, and corrections the inspector will require
- Permit fees, which vary by city across LA County
- Panel location changes or stucco and drywall repair after the work
Why Quotes Vary So Much
Two bids for the same house can be thousands apart because one includes the permit, the utility coordination, the required grounding updates, and the inspection, and the other quietly leaves them out. A low bid that skips the permit is not a bargain. It becomes your problem at escrow or after a fire.
Our estimates are written, itemized, and include everything required to pass inspection. The price you approve is the price you pay.
Getting A Real Number
We can usually give you an accurate written quote after seeing photos of your panel and meter, and a firm one after a short site visit. The estimate is free, and if the right answer is a repair instead of a full upgrade, we will tell you that too.
