I run two zones. The difference is simple: close to home I take everything, further out I take project work.
Core zone: any job size
The north San Fernando Valley is home. Service calls, troubleshooting, small repairs, and full projects all run at standard rates here.
Extended zone: project work
Beyond the core zone I take project work: EV charger installations, panel and service upgrades, whole house rewires, new construction, ADUs, and commercial buildouts. The project zone runs from Santa Clarita through the San Fernando Valley and central Los Angeles to the South Bay and Long Beach, west through Calabasas to Thousand Oaks, Simi Valley, and Moorpark, and east through Glendale and Pasadena to about Whittier and Norwalk.
Extended zone projects carry a minimum job size. Call or text with your address and what you are planning, and I will tell you straight away whether it makes sense for both of us.
