Level 2 charging, installed right and permitted
I install home and commercial EV chargers across greater Los Angeles. One visit for the assessment, a written flat rate quote, then a scheduled install that passes inspection.
What the quote includes
A load calculation on your existing panel, the dedicated circuit sized for your charger, mounting and wiring with proper conductor sizing, the permit where your city requires one, and the inspection. If your panel does not have the capacity, I tell you before any work starts, with numbers for both paths: a load management device or a panel upgrade.
Tesla Wall Connector
The Wall Connector is most of what I install. It can be set from 12 to 48 amps, which means the right install depends on your panel capacity, not just the charger box. I do the load calculation first, set the charger to what your service genuinely supports, and wire it on a properly sized dedicated circuit. If you want the full 48 amps and your panel cannot support it, I quote the panel upgrade alongside so you can decide with real numbers. I install other brands the same way: ChargePoint, Emporia, Wallbox, and hardwired or plug-in units.
Rebates worth checking before you buy
If your power comes from LADWP, their residential EV charger rebate program currently offers up to $1,000 back on a qualifying Level 2 charger, up to $1,500 for income qualified customers, plus an extra $250 if you install a dedicated meter, and a discounted rate for EV charging on a time of use account.
In SCE territory, the Charge Ready Home program currently offers panel upgrade rebates of up to $2,100 in designated communities and up to $4,200 for income qualified customers. That can turn a panel upgrade plus charger project into a much smaller net cost.

Most single charger installs are done in one visit. Related work: panel and service upgrades if capacity is tight, and ADU electrical if the charger is part of a bigger project.
