Recessed lighting
Layout planned to the room and ceiling framing, LED wafers or cans, dimmers that do not flicker, and openings planned with you before cutting.
Fixtures and fans
Pendants, chandeliers, sconces, and ceiling fans, including fan rated boxes where the old box cannot take the load.
Exterior
Patio and landscape lighting, string light circuits done properly, and security lighting on the right controls.
When it is not the fixture
Flickering that follows the circuit rather than the bulb is a wiring symptom. That becomes a troubleshooting visit, and if the wiring era is the problem, see rewiring.
