Scheduled troubleshooting

Finding the cause is the job. The fix is the easy part.

Flickering lights, a dead circuit, a breaker that will not hold, a warm outlet, a burning smell you cannot place. I schedule a visit, trace it to the cause, and fix it or quote the fix in writing.

Describe it, send photos

What happens, when it happens, and which rooms. A photo of your panel tells me a lot before I arrive.

2

Scheduled diagnosis

The service visit runs $165 to $185 as a minimum and covers the trip and diagnosis time. Small fixes usually happen in the same visit.

3

The cause, in writing

If the fault traces back to a failing panel or aging wiring, you get the finding and a written flat rate quote for the real fix. No pressure attached to it.

Honest note: a good share of troubleshooting calls end at the panel or the wiring era of the house. That is why the panel upgrade and rewire pages exist. I work scheduled visits only, Monday to Saturday 7 to 7 and Sunday 9 to 5.

Tell me what you're planning

I'll give you a real number, in writing.
